A visitor visa (also called a temporary resident visa) is an official document that IRCC places in your passport. It shows that you meet the requirements needed to enter Canada. Most visitors can stay for up to 6 months in Canada.

Temporary Resident Visa
A Temporary Resident Visa reveals that they have met the requirements for admission to Canada. Types of TRVs include: Single Entry, Multiple Entry, Super Visa

Single Entry
The applicant is approved for entry into Canada on a single occasion. This individual can remain in Canada for up to 6 months.

Multiple- Entry
The individual has valid entry into Canada on multiple occasions. There may be restrictions on their length & terms for a Multiple-entry Visa. This individual may visit Canada for up to 6 months.

Super Visa
A Supervisa allow you to visit your family for up to 5 years at a time. This visa allows you to have multiple entires for up to 10 years.

This Visa allows parents and grandparents to be with their children and grandchildren for an extended period of time. This eligibility has a special exception to the 6 month limit visit. The Super Visa allows the opportunity for multiple entries for up to 10 years. This allows the opportunity for visitors to be with their family for up to 5 years at a time.
